Hello everyone! Today I will be teaching you how to create an efficient and proper art workspace. I’m sure we’ve all felt the frustrations of working at home during the pandemic. Sometimes it may interfere with our ability to work. Having a proper workspace will ultimately help keep you on task, make you more excited to make art, and help you create the best projects your inner artist could do. So walk away from those negative thoughts and keep in mind 3 main things when putting together an efficient art workspace. Number 1. Keep things clean and tidy. Make sure there’s enough room to work and that it’s always easy to find what you're looking for. It’s best to have all materials you plan to work with in an organized fashion. Number 2. It is very important that your workspace is free from distractions. This includes social media, TV, and noise. Try to set up in a space with little noise and away from unnecessary technology. You can also take a break from all the screens and go outside for inspiration. Nature is never a distraction. Number 3. Last but not least, spice things up! Make it yours. Add flowers, candles, pictures, your own organization techniques, or personal important items. Whatever makes you happy and expresses your individuality. |
The grandeur of your artwork is not limited to your work space. I drew JJ in the dining room. I painted my largest piece ever in the living room. Did a self-portrait in the bathroom and painted this outside. All of the work stations I set up were tidy, distraction-free, and uniquely my own. Art is not limited to a professional work space.
With all that, I hope this helps you artists to work a little easier. Keep creating friends! |
